Have you ever noticed this?
When you look at a blue sky or a plane wall, have you ever noticed tiny specs or dots or thread-like transparent objects floating in your field of view.
This condition is called FLOATERS
Floaters look like small specks, dots, circles, lines or cobwebs in your visual field as shown in the picture.
Floaters can occur due to the following;
1. Liquefaction of the vitreous. Viteeous is a transparent gel in the eye. Floaters can form when this gel breaks down into liduid.
2. Those with short sightedness (Myopia) are at the risk of eye floaters occurring earlier in life.
3. Trauma from accident affecting the back of the eye.
Most Eye floaters are not dangerous but can be annoying if they have sudden onset or becomes so much that they disturb vision. That is when you can consider going for a treatment.
But in some few cases, floaters may have more serious underlying factors. So, Whenever you notice floater, pls go for eyecheckup.
